How the weekends work
Inspired Performance Weekends run from Friday evening (6pm) to Sunday afternoon (3-4pm) with all lunches and dinners provided, along with teas, coffees and refreshments. The teaching sessions, with between 6-7 participants, take place in my music studio, which has a Steinway model ‘O’ piano.
The weekend comprises learnings & discussions about key topics with time to put the learnings into practice through individual coaching in the group setting. Each participant has 20 minutes of coaching at a time in rotation.
Be assured that I make every effort to ensure that the group is a safe space in which to learn and perform.
Practice
There are opportunities to practice/warm up on your instrument in the studio on Friday afternoon and during the weekend. Practice slots can be reserved after booking has taken place.
The weekend will suit classical instrumentalists and singers who
-
are conservatoire or university students & advanced adult amateurs whose playing is at diploma level; professional musicians are also welcome
-
are keen to develop as performers by playing in front of a small group
-
welcome exploration of psychology and emotions (the ‘inner game') that is required to learn and perform
Before you book
Please make sure you have a good browse of my website, in particular, What is Performance Coaching? to understand more about my approach. Learn more about my experience as a Coach.

Meals and refreshments
Having a warm, supportive environment with nutritious, homemade food is for me essential for both focused learning and overall well-being. All the food is fresh, homemade, tasty and mostly organic. Wine flows freely for the evening meals. Fresh coffee, a wide range of teas, flapjacks plus fresh fruit is available for tea breaks. Food requirements & sensitivities are also catered for when prior notice is given.
“The food was incredible! Home-cooked meals make such a difference - it gave the weekend an all round high quality.”
